BEAT WITHOUT BORDERS | ASEAN Fusion of BEAT’ABOX Cajons + Ethnic Percussions
A beautiful fusion of 300 Youths from the ASEAN region, exploring the wide spectrum of BEAT’ABOX Cajons and ethnic percussion instruments in the hope of building greater mutual respect, understanding and friendship.
1. What is Beat Without Borders all about?
Beat Without Borders is an event hoping to unite youths from the different ASEAN countries
through learning the music of a different culture and interacting with participants from other
cultures. This event also hopes to develop empathy and deeper understanding of cultures other than our own. Beat Without Borders aims to influence youths, both local and international alike to appreciate cultures of the various ASEAN nations and attract them using music and gain an appreciation for ASEAN cultures
2. What are the activities that I will be doing?
We have lined up a whole lot of engaging activities for participants; such as cajons making,
learning to play the different ethnic traditional instruments including cajons. Participants will also get the chance to put up a special performance at the end of the event.
3. How much will the tickets cost?
The event is complimentary i.e. it’s FREE for all participants.
4. Do we bring our own musical instruments?
All participants will be provided with their own musical instruments during the event day.
5. Can I make the cajons?
Participants will have the chance to experience making the cajons. However, the slots are limited to the first 50 participants who register on a first come first serve basis.
6. Can I bring my friends along?
Yes! You can bring your friends along to experience this exciting musical journey.

8. Where is the exact location for Beat Without Borders?
The Beat Without Borders will be held at Tay Eng Soon Convention Centre at ITE College Central. Participants may look out for signage that will be located around the vicinity.

10. If I register for cajon making, can I still learn how to play the traditional instruments?
Participants are only allowed to choose one activity. Participants who choose to make the cajons will not be allowed to change to another beat up session.

Registration starts at 12.30pm and will end at 9.00pm
